Protocol 3 – Day 17 (5th DON dose and PET Results)

This is going to be a short post. Today marked my 5th DON dose of this protocol. I felt unwell today and threw up in the tank; I felt sick all the way home. But then, at 15:00, I had my cancer clinic appointment to get my PET results.

Drumroll, please…

MY BREAST TUMOR IS GONE!

GONE! I’m not kidding. No uptake was detected in my breast, liver, or lymph nodes. The liver was unlikely anyway. But what was once an 11cm tumour in my right breast is now gone. I do have some uptake in my bones still, but they apparently don’t measure progress on bone disease with a PET scan because it’s not practical. The Bone Scans do that, and if you remember, my last bone scan was on November 8th, and it showed remission! Ha!

We are curing cancer! Thank you, thank you to everyone! I will post more later, but I need to celebrate and breathe.
