As many of you may know, I have been on a challenging journey this year after having been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. In my pursuit of healing, I have come across the mitochondrial metabolic theory of cancer, a compelling perspective that suggests that cancer primarily arises from defects in cellular metabolism, especially within the mitochondria. This theory builds on the foundation set by Otto Warburg and has been further researched by many, including Dr. Thomas Seyfried. It underscores the idea that by targeting these metabolic defects, one can potentially treat and even reverse cancer more effectively.
While traditional treatments remain the mainstay of cancer care, metabolic therapies are emerging as a promising complement and sometimes alternative, focusing on altering the body’s metabolism to inhibit tumour growth. These treatments often involve dietary, and lifestyle changes, supplements, off-label drugs and other innovative procedures that are unfortunately not covered by insurance. Thus, I find myself facing significant financial challenges in affording these treatments, which I believe could greatly enhance my chances of recovery along with allowing me to contribute to the science of metabolic theory. I am one of a small group of people willing to risk the progression of the disease by adding metabolic therapy because I believe in the evidence it has to show. Help me help others by expediting research and adding my experience to a growing number of case studies justifying Mitochondrial Metabolic Therapy.
With a heavy heart but high hopes, I am reaching out to you to kindly consider helping me raise funds for these metabolic treatments. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be immensely appreciated and will directly impact this journey towards a cure. Your support means more than just financial assistance; it signifies a collective hope and that you too are tired of contributing to the same broken theory that hasn’t panned out for 100 years. It’s time to do something different if we want different results.
